If you think the army isn’t rock'n'roll think again. The Rubycons, the Parachute Regiments all-girl rock band is living proof to the contrary. They're answering the call of duty and the duty is to rock.
Covering songs by bands like The Kooks, Snow Patrol and The White Stripes, the band has learned that, although successful rock bands make it look easy, they made it through hard work. Lead guitarist Emily Gardner says 'The Army motto is be the best and that applies to the music. They get 100% out of you'.
It certainly seems that way when they take to the stage. And, as they tour the world, from the Middle East to Canada, they make a tough act to follow.
